The story
One upgrade made the biggest difference.
Kazemaki comes out of a reel tuning workshop in Berlin. For more than 10 years we have been opening, cleaning and tuning baitcasting reels under the name RL-Angelrollentuning. Reel after reel crossed the bench, and one upgrade made the biggest difference almost every time: the spool bearings.
So we built our own. Three bearing classes: Apex for maximum performance on reels built for 2 to 60 g, Edge as the all-rounder between performance and durability for 5 to 100 g, Core built to take a beating, for big baits from 8 to 200 g. Which one we recommend depends on what your reel is made for, not on the price.

The name
The wind that winds up.
kaze means wind, maki means winding. The name is a nod to the Japanese BFS and tuning scene that shaped how we think about reels. The company behind it is German, and we say so openly: Kazemaki is a brand by RL Angelrollentuning, Germany.
What we do

Kazemaki sells spool bearings for baitcasting reels, the oils that keep them running and the tools to change them. That is the whole range, and it stays that way until something else earns its place.
